Help us welcome our new Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Leah Thibodeau!
Leah’s experience with leading volunteers and volunteer programs makes her a great addition to the Volunteer Center. Read a little more about Leah below, in her own words:
I am so happy to introduce myself as the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at The Volunteer Center. I’ve been working with volunteers for 8 years, most recently at St. Joseph Food Program where I led more than 300 weekly volunteers along with groups and short-term volunteers. My background is in human resources, but if I had known about volunteer management earlier in my life I would have headed straight to the non-profit sector. I consider it a calling to support volunteerism in my community and I look forward to partnering with you. I live in Appleton with my husband, Dale, our three boys, Evan (16), Aaron (14), and Mason (9), and our overly-energetic dog, Bandit. When I’m not working or running my kids to activities I enjoy dancing in my kitchen while trying out a new recipe, writing, spending time by water, and contemplating the meaning of life. I’ll let you know when I have that all figured out. Until then, I look forward to working with you!
